AcuRite PC Connect Feature Review
AcuRite PC Connect enabled weather stations allow the user to connect the weather display to a Windows PC or Mac computer via the included USB cable. Of course they can still work stand-alone also, but connecting to a PC gives these weather stations another whole level of capability. Here are a few highlights of AcuRite PC Connect:
My AcuRite App
Through AcuRite PC Connect, you can automatically upload your weather data to the My AcuRite application and monitor it anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.
Record Historical Data
The weather data recorded through PC Connect can be used to analyze trends and keep track of overall highs and lows for the measurements and readings you’ve collected over the years.
Easy & Affordable
AcuRite PC Connect is easy to use. We’ve found that users enjoy the interface and have a positive expereince during setup. In addition, AcuRite weather stations with PC Connect add very little cost to those that do not. We believe it’s well worth the $.
Be Social
One of the most popular things users like to do with home weather stations is share their data with an online community. Weather Underground is the most popular and a great place to be social with others that share your passion for local weather data collection.
We love this feature and highly recommend securing the capability of connecting your data even if you’re not planning on using it right away. There are other ways to get your AcuRite weather station data into a PC or on the web, including the wireless SmartHub that can be added to many AcuRite models after the fact. However, weather stations that come with AcuRite PC Connect are often the most affordable option.
